Thrust HP - Now updated for the upcoming seasons. It is our top of the range
paramotor wing. Our goal was to improve the wing on most parameters, making it lighter, safer and better looking - in a nutshell, an even greater wing. Mission accomplished and wing renamed Thrust HP 2009 (or for short Thrust HP '09).
The HP has claimed many fans worldwide and was received exceptionally well by pilots and media. It is indeed our best paramotor wing and now even better!!
Improvements are based on accumulated pilot feedback. The HP '09 shares the philosophy of Thrust HP, but has incorporated new cutting edge materials and the latest technological innovations to make it a better performing, longer lasting, easier handling, lighter and safer wing.
HP '09 is made from new lightweight Gelvenor double coated siliconised cloth, reducing the glider weight by a half kilo.The cloth is backed by optional 5 Year / 500 Hour extended Warranty for HP '09 as for the rest of our range (Industry first and exclusive from APCO).
New generation FLEXON ® batten system incorporated (see below) for the leading edge of the ribs, instead of traditional Mylar reinforcement, reducing the weight of the glider by an additional 300gr.
Additional advantage of FLEXON batten is that it is practically indestructable. Safeguarding the performance and launch over the lifespan of the glider.

These improvements have been thoroughly tested on Thrust '09 and following the very positive experience gained, gradually introduced on all APCO range as standard, starting with Thrust HP '09
Additional important improvement is introduction of stabilo steering as standard (greatly improving handling on top end of the speed range) - something many pilots wish for.

The HP '09 is a significantly lighter wing compared to previous generation of Thrust HP - thanks to the new cloth and FLEXON system, making it one of the lightest wings in its Class - incredible 5.4kg for S and 5.8kg for M.
One kilo less than industry average and our previous version of HP.
Now it is an even safer and easier launching wing (not that anyone complained about Thrust HP).
In order to prove the safety of Thrust HP, we cooperated with Air Turquoise - official EN certification laboratory to conduct a new ground breaking test sequence for all parameters of safety as a paramotor unit, in addition to standard paragliding certification - the tests confirmed that the reflex hybrid technology of Thrust HP actually improves the safety of the wing on higher speeds or with trimmers released.
During the test, load on A and B risers were measured at different angle of attack at different speeds and it was proved that the load rises on A and B risers with increased speed, making collapses more difficult, contributing to the stability.
No doubt , HP '09 will continue the legacy of Thrust HP and guarantee its standing as #1 best performing, easiest launching paramotor wing with rock solid safety and light, but durable construction for which APCO is so famous.

The Thrust HP '09 inherited design features of the HP, so it shares the certification with Thrust HP
The color design for HP '09 remains the same attractive design as on
Thrust HP - highly visible and easily recognisable.
Thrust HP '09 is now in full production and first gliders have already been delivered - orders welcome Price - unchanged, same as Thrust HP
Price will be updated for orders received from August 1, 2008 - new price will be informed ahead, reflecting the cost of improvements and stabilo steering option.
