New from APCO
:: Next bridle generation from APCO ::

(introducing the new bridle for Harness and Mayday ranges)

(For complete information click here)

For many years APCO used 6,000 lb. stiff 25mm. webbing as a base for production of all bridles used for our emergency parachute range.

It is about time to move forward, making use of latest and best innovations and techniques also in climbing and safety technology.

The former 25mm. bridle webbing is gradually being replaced by new 20mm. soft touch webbing, similar to that used in climbing industry - the latest in safety webbing technology. It is light and strong, compact in volume, with excellent shock absorption qualities.

The new bridle now implemented on most of our harness and Mayday ranges

This dealer letter is devoted to a number of subjects :

1. New Universal bridle – Code: 42024 (instead of Y-Shape bridle – Code: 42004)
2. Assembly instructions for the harness Universal bridle
3. Mayday Bridle
4. Mayday Tandem bridle

1. UNIVERSAL HARNESS BRIDLE – 42024

The new Universal harness Bridle replaces the former Y-shape bridle (Code 42004) which is now discontinued.

The Universal harness Bridle boasts a number of advantages over the former Y-shape bridle

  • No metal links needed
  • Softer, small bulk
  • Easy to handle
  • Stronger and lighter
    (better strength to weight ratio)

The new Universal harness bridle consists of two separate pieces – it allows for greater flexibility and for stronger arrangement when connecting any harness to any emergency parachute.

Built from 20mm. soft touch Polyester webbing – 2,200 [kg] MBL

3. MAYDAY BRIDLE
Upgrading Mayday 16, Mayday 18 and Mayday 20

The veteran short Mayday bridle we used on our Mayday range since the early days, has now been replaced by the new soft touch short bridle. This new bridle is much more flexible and user friendly, making packing and storage a much easier process.

4. TANDEM BRIDLE
Upgrading Mayday BI

New Tandem Bridle set - eliminates the need for extension

Former tandem harness bridle

Extension for former tandem harness bridle

These bridles (new and former) are an integral part of Mayday BI and not sold separately.

NEW two-pieces tandem bridle supplied as integral part of Mayday BI – it is longer making extension bridle obsolete. Connecting spreader bars to Mayday directly with no need for extension

The new Mayday Tandem bridle assembled as a set of 2 (two separate pieces) on the Mayday BI– the bridle is now longer, eliminating the need to use extension bridle. The new bridle allows for greater flexibility and directly connects the emergency parachute to spreader bar. It is significantly stronger than former Y-Shape bridle arrangement – more flexible and pilot friendly.

Built from 20mm. soft touch Polyester webbing – webbing MBL 2,200kg.
