I recently took delivery of a new APCO Voyager from Bill Wallace here in Plymouth, New Hampshire. I remember how excited Bill and Melinda Bliss were when they started test flying this model, they couldn’t say enough about it. I knew that if a couple of pilots as experienced as they are were so excited it was something special. My own wing was due for replacement so when the Voyager went on sale I ordered one for my Powrachute Pegasus. This past weekend Bill and I installed the new wing on my aircraft and I got to fly under the Voyager. I flew the Cruiser during training with Melinda Bliss so I had experience flying under an APCO wing. I have to say that it is a total game changer for me. It’s like I have purchased a new aircraft, you cannot wipe the smile from my face. The ease with which it handles, the efficiency with which it flies allowed me to drop significant rpms to maintain level flight. My cruising is so much quieter because of the reduced rpms and it comes along with greater fuel efficiency. I want to thank you all at APCO for developing such an excellent product. I am certainly one of your biggest fans today.

Just want to thank all the design engineers for the work and effort that apco has put into the voyager  parachute. That chute is absolutely phenomenal. I am running almost 300rpm less to maintain level flight. That is a significant savings in fuel, which means longer flight times. It climbs faster and decends slower. It is extremely responsive and turns on a dime. And the foot pressure is extremely light compared to the GT. The glideslope is so much flatter which is so absolutely unbelievable. A much safer chute because the glideslope gives the pilot more time and choices to pick out a suitable landing spot in the event of an engine out. Thanks again for creating such a quality product.

I purchased the new chute from Bill Wallace and I must say Bill is very knowledgeable and is extremely supportive of his customers. He is a pleasure to do business with.

F3 is now fully approved by DGAC in all sizes !!!

After receiving positive results from shock and load tests confirming glider structural integrity up to a whopping 180 kg. the DGAC documentation is now available for pilots requiring DGAC approval according to the weight range specified on the website.

The F3 is proving to be an even bigger success than the F1.

The “baby F1” is maturing nicely, suitable for a wide range of pilots looking to upgrade their wing.

:: SLT Low MKII Update ::

New Universal Safety Loop

We have improved the Safety Strap System on the SLT Low MKII.

This includes a new Universal Safety Loop (Product Code: 80030) which is suitable for use in multiple configurations, so no need to order a long or short safety strap as in the past – One part does it all!

On the harness, we have doubled webbing on the lumbar support strap, to which the new safety is attached, and it has an orange mark on the webbing to mark where, and to which the strap it should be attached.

Install the safety loop by passing it through the eye in the lumbar strap at the orange mark, and then either loop it through itself to form a tag knot make a long safety.

Or for a short safety, use both sides of the loop to clip into the flying karabiner.

In either configuration, the safety should be tidied by passing it through the head of the Karabiner loop knot, before clipping it into the karabiner.

The length of the Safety Loop can be adjusted further by making a second pass around the Lumbar Strap.

In flight, the safety strap should be almost tight, but not bearing any weight.
