SAP – the Supported Accelerated Profile
At high speeds, reflex and shark-nose paragliders can experience leading-edge deformation. To solve this, Apco Aviation developed SAP – the Supported Accelerated Profile a reinforcement system that stabilises the wing’s leading edge and keeps it clean under acceleration. This is achieved by supporting the panels with flexon plastics that are not only on the panel surface but are fixed between 2 rigid points on the rib, resisting deformation!
